This protocol explains how to identify the cingulate gyrus component of the cingulum in DTIStudio. Note: Tractography shown in this protocol was performed in DTIStudio using 30 direction diffusion data.
First ROI: Identify the coronal slice intersecting the middle of the splenium of the corpus callosum using the mid-sagittal slice. Select all fibers superior to the corpus callosum on the side of the hemisphere of interest. |
Second ROI: Identify the most central coronal slice of the corpus callosum using the mid-sagittal slice. Select all remaining fibers superior to the corpus callosum. * Be sure to remove all fibers that are clearly not a part of the tract. |
